The above view is looking northwest toward the excavated portion of the mound and stupa. This stupa is a Buddhist building, from the Kushan period, much later than the underlying ruins. The area surrounding the stupa is filled with many important buildings, including the Great Bath, the `granary', and `assembly hall'. While the bath is obviously a bath, but the other buildings can be debated. The connection between the bath and surrounding buildings makes the whole area very intriguing.
Looking south down the main street near the bath. This street has rocks covering the drains, an unusual feature to the extensive drain system.
Looking south at the stupa and main Citadel excavations. The small people on the right side of the picture are near the Bath.
